Home Managers

Christine Henderson: Whitley Bay Home Manager

Christine has a wealth of experience in caring for the elderly and has been employed by Eothen for 12 years, initially as a care assistant, progressing to Home Manager in 2011. Christine has contributed greatly to Eothen achieving the highest 3* excellent rating with the Care Quality Commission. She is committed to enhancing the lives of our residents and to training and developing our staff.

Julie Needham: Gosforth Home Manager

Julie has worked in care for the elderly for 18 years.  She has worked for Eothen Homes for 12 years, initially as a deputy manager, progressing to home manager in 2005.  Julie’s key motivation is to improve the quality of life for residents by providing the highest possible level of care, encouraging independence within each resident’s capability, promoting dignity and choice and ensuring that resident rights are protected.  During her time as home manager Julie has achieved the registered managers award, qualified as an NVQ assessor, and has achieved the highest 3* excellent rating with the Care Quality Commission.

Mrs J M Hearl – Chief Executive

Mrs Hearl is a registered general nurse and commenced her employment with Eothen as a deputy manager.  She has held the position of Chief Executive since 1998.  During this time the homes have been extensively refurbished and updated and all three homes have achieved a 3* excellent rating with the Care Quality Commission.  Mrs Hearl always promotes the very highest standard of care for residents in our homes and is a strong advocate of care planning to ensure that residents are able to live their lives to the full within their capabilities.

Mrs C H Hardy – Operations Manager/Company Secretary

Mrs Hardy commenced her employment with Eothen as an administrator in 1997 and became Operations Manager in 1998.  Mrs Hardy has a real heart for equipping people to do their work to the very best of their ability and is responsible for organising all staff training she is also the Chair of the North Tyneside Branch of the Tyne & Wear Care Alliance.

Mrs B Wilson - Finance Manager

Mrs Wilson joined the company in 1999 as office administrator.  She was promoted to the finance manager role in 2001 and is responsible for all aspects of the company finances.

Mrs A E Morton – Office Manager

Mrs Morton provides support for head office and home staff. She joined Eothen in 2002 as an administrator and is a vital part of the management team.
