The organisation is governed by a voluntary board of trustees. The Chief Executive is the registered provider on behalf of Eothen for all residential homes. The Operations Manager, Finance Manager, Office Manager and Administrator also assist and support each home from Head Office in Newcastle.
Each home has a registered Home Manager who is qualified, competent and experienced to run the home.
Assistant Home Managers, care co-ordinators, day care, night care, activity co-ordinators, domestic, kitchen, laundry and maintenance staff are also employed at each home and have the relevant qualifications and experience.
A comprehensive recruitment procedure is followed which ensures all staff employed have provided satisfactory written references and all relevant checks have been carried out.
Mrs J M Hearl, RGN - Chief Executive
Mrs Hearl has worked for Eothen since 1993 and has been Chief Executive since 1997. Mrs Hearl ensures that the aims and objectives of the charity are met and will always aim to exceed the high standard and excellent reputation already achieved. The role of Chief Executive is to ensure that the organisation maintains viability for the future and plans future strategy and development.
Mrs C H Hardy - Operations Manager/Company Sectretary
Mrs Hardy commenced her employment with Eothen as an administrator in 1997 and became Operations Manager in 1998. She is committed to staff development and implementing new initiatives to the homes which enhances the quality of lives for our residents. She is a great support to the Home Managers and ensures standards within the homes are maintained.
Mrs B Wilson - Finance Manager
Mrs Wilson joined the company in 1999 as office administrator. She was promoted to the finance manager role in 2001 and is responsible for all aspects of the company finances.
Mrs A E Morton – Office Manager
Mrs Morton provides support for head office and home staff. She joined Eothen in 2002 as an administrator and is a vital part of the management team.
Mrs K Rothery - Office Administrator
Mrs Rothery provides part-time administration support mainly with recruitment, training and quality assurance.
